Alex Cooper Auctioneers to Host Public Auction Aug. 29

Alex Cooper Auctioneers, one of the largest auction houses in the mid-Atlantic, will host a public auction on Saturday, Aug. 29 at its gallery in Towson, Md. During the auction, the public will have the opportunity to bid on fine-quality items from different countries and time periods, including: unique antiques, modern and quality reproduction furniture, American and continental paintings and sculptures, Chinese export porcelain, oriental rugs and other collectibles.
Below is a sampling of items that will be available at the auction:
- Paul Evans “Cityscape” dining table
- Pair of Louis XVI-style ormolu candelabra
- Marcel Debut (French, 1865-1933) “Mozart,” bronze
- Le Corbusier (Swiss/French, 1887-1965) “Personnage Sur Fond Violet,” color lithograph, signed, 16 ¼ x 12 ¾ in. framed
Buyers are invited to visit the gallery and preview items before the auction during exhibitions on Thursday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
