For its New York gallery opening following an August break, Olde Hope will present “Carved from America’s Story:  The Sculpture of Marshall Rumbaugh”.   Rumbaugh, a Northeastern Pennsylvania native, is a sculptor in wood and is known for his polychromed carvings of historical figures done in a straightforward style inspired by American folk art.

The current exhibit in the Olde Hope gallery includes eleven recent works along with four early works from private collections to show the artist’s history.  As with previous exhibits in the gallery, the artwork will be presented in conjunction with early painted furniture and folk art from Olde Hope’s extensive inventory.

A reception for the artist will be held on September 29 from 5-7:30 pm.   Please RSVP to info@oldehope.com or by calling 215-297-0200.
