New Year's Signature Estates Auction, Jan. 14-16
A Tiffany Studios Favrile glass door from the 1920s titled The Sower, an original painting by Thornton Dial (American, 1928-2016) titled Struggling Tiger (1991), and a stunning Lalique cactus crystal center table designed in 1951 are just a few of the expected top lots in Ahlers & Ogletree’s three-day, three-session auction slated for January 14th, 15th and 16th. There will be no in-person bidding in the New Year’s Signature Estates Auction, but bidders can register at one of the three popular online platforms: LiveAuctioneers.com, Invaluable.com and Bidsquare.com. Phone and absentee bids will also be accepted. In-person previews will be held (no appointment required) January 10th-12th from 10-5, and on Thursday, January 13th from 10-6. Start times all three days will be 10 am Eastern time. Session 1, on Friday, January 14th, offers the estate of a prominent Atlanta interior designer. Session 2, the following day, will feature Modernism, estate jewelry, Asian arts, fine furs, African arts, vintage movie posters and advertising posters. Session 3, on January 16th, will contain period antiques and fine art.
