Alex Cooper Auctioneers to Host Public Auctions June 27 and June 29

Alex Cooper Auctioneers, one of the largest auction houses in the mid- Atlantic, will host public auctions on Saturday, June 27 and Monday, June 29 at its gallery in Towson, Md. During the June 27 auction, the public will have the opportunity to bid on fine-quality items from different countries and time periods, including: unique antiques, modern and quality reproduction furniture, American and continental paintings and sculptures, porcelain, oriental rugs and other collectables. The June 29 auction will feature jewelry and silver items.
Below is a sampling of extraordinary items that will be available for the June 27 auction:
- Kohler & Campbell mahogany cased grand piano, model SKG-500S
- Pair of Japanese Arita porcelain palace vases, early 20th century, 53 in. height
- Chinese Export Mandarin palette platter
- David Loeb, “Boys and the Muse,” oil on canvas, 58 ¼ x 56 ¼ in., framed
Sample jewelry and silver items for the June 29 auction include:
- Pear-shaped diamond and platinum ring
- Hamilton 14k white gold and diamond watch
- Reed & Barton sterling silver 5-piece tea and coffee set in the “Hampton Court” pattern
- Pair of diamond stud earrings
Buyers are invited to visit the gallery and preview items before the auctions during an exhibition on Thursday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
