Themes of war, politics, and social injustice proved provocative at the national pavilions curated for the 54th Venice Biennale, the annual contemporary art exhibition. Artists from Iraq created "Acqua Ferita/ Wounded Water," informed by the painful consequences of ongoing military conflict, the exhibition was coincidentally positioned across a canal from the Wales Pavilion featuring Tim Davies' video series on war, "Cadet."
