Following the devastating 9.0 earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on Friday, a number of international aid agenices are mobilizing efforts to provide relief. Direct Relief International, for one, has already staged needed materials to airlift to Japan. The California-based organization, which Forbes magazine rated as 100% efficient in fundraising for the eighth time in 2010, works with governmental and non-governmental agencies as an emergency responder.
