Oilman's heirs fight MFA, Houston over $500 million estate

Alfred C. Glassell Jr., founder of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co., intended to leave about half of his $500 million estate to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and his will should be honored, a lawyer for the museum said. Curry Glassell, the oilman’s 52-year-old daughter, is fighting to keep that fortune through a probate battle that went to trial in Houston yesterday. She contends the museum and its lawyers pressured her father to change his will and leave the bulk of his fortune to the museum and a family foundation....
