Miami Arts Week is in full swing through Dec. 5. Among the fair highlights, model Kate Moss has curated a collection of fashion photographs (of herself), with prices starting at $75,000, at PULSE; 20th-century Cuban modernists anchor the booth of Cernuda Arte, a new exhibitor at Art Basel Miami Beach; and New York scenes star in Susan Teller's booth at Art Miami.

The prestigious Art Basel Miami Beach, which expects 40,000 visitors, will display an array of modern, post-war and contemporary art, from Richard Prince to Ed Ruscha, along with works deemed experimental, and Chinese superstar artists such as Ai Weiwe whose "Kui Hua Zi," 2008, is available at the Galerie Urs Meile booth.

Concurrent to the fairs, the W South Beach Hotel is hosting two special art events focused on the Urban Contemporary genre including street art, graffiti and lowbrow. Never Say Never and The 6on12 Art Crawl at the hotel, curated by Justin Giarla of White Walls Gallery in San Francisco, and presented by the W and The Arts Fund, features super-cool artists such as Kofie One, Casey Gray, HUSH and Eddie Colla.

Ensconced in a purpose-built space along an entire city block at Collins Park, the Oceanfront Nights program, sponsored by Art Basel Miami Beach, promises four dazzling themed evenings of contemporary art and revelry. This year's seaside soiree features four cities at the forefront of artistic experimentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration: Berlin, Detroit, Glasgow, and Mexico City. From Dec. 1-4, the diverse program will spotlight one city per night, featuring music, video, performances and more.

Also, not to miss is a special exhibition at The Mandarin Oriental, Miami, of Contemporary Asian Art, organized in conjunction with Art Miami, which features such artists as Li Chen (Goedhuis Contemporary), Qin Feng (Pace Prints), and Yue Minjun (Pan American Projects).

Area museums have prepared an array of special exhibits, including: 'Susan Rothenberg: Moving in Place' at the Miami Art Museum; 'Isaac Julien' at the Bass Museum; 'John Storrs: Machine-Age Modernist' and 'Nick Cave: Meet Me at the Center of the Earth' at the Norton Museum; 'Seduce Me,' a collaboration by Isabella Rossellini, Andy Byers, and Rick Gilbert at the Wolfsonian-FIU; 'Bruce Weber: Haiti/Little Haiti' and 'Jonathan Meese: Sculpture' at MOCA Miami; Jim Drain at Locust Projects and the Pearl and Stanley Goodman Latin American Collection at the Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale.

Never Say Never will be held at The W Hotel LAWN, Dec. 3-5, 10 am-8pm on Friday and Saturday and 10 am-5pm on Sunday. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

6on12 Art Crawl where the W South Beach hotel will open six of its residences on the 12th floor to exhibit art works from some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists.  The artist salons will be open to the public on November 30 – December 5 from 12-8pm, with a cocktail hour each evening from 6-8 pm.

Design Miami, from Dec.1-5, a marketplace with the world’s most prominent design galleries presenting contemporary and historic furniture, lighting and objets d’art. Design Miami will for the first time be located in the P-lot, in close proximity to the Miami Beach Convention Center.
