About 150 artists, gallerists, and curators marched outside Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's Manhattan residential building on Monday with signs in protest of the president-elect's offensive comments about women and his proposed policies, reports the New York Times.
The peaceful protest included such notable artists as Cecily Brown, Rob Pruitt, and Nate Lowman, whose work Ms. Trump is known to collect, according to the Times.
Marilyn Minter, the subject of a current retrospective at Brooklyn Museum, was on hand, telling the Times: "The culture changes, and fascism rears its ugly head and that's what's happening now." Adding, "We wanted to do something to get the ball rolling, to grow a protest...".
