ARTFIXdaily will be closed for the week of April 12 and subscriber e-newsletter service will resume on April 19.

Coming up, look for our coverage of The Philadelphia Show (April 23-30) as the 59th edition showcases stellar American fine and decorative arts along with European and Asian works. The presentation, programming, and preview (April 22) will be virtual for armchair fairgoers.

Creative initiatives with long-standing and new dealers give the show a fresh approach, including Online Viewing Rooms, Themed Rooms showcasing multiple dealers' finds, and a Tastemakers Series with speakers including Michael Diaz-Griffith, Executive Director of Sir John Soane's Museum Foundation; Decorative Arts Trust Director Matthew Thurlow; and many others.

Daily talks with exhibitors on Instagram Live will showcase their expertise, such as Arlie Sulka of Lillian Nassau on The Genius Behind the Tiffany Lamps: Clara Driscoll, Barbara Israel of Barbara Israel Garden Antiques on The Use of Ornaments in the Garden, and much more.

An animal-themed loan exhibition entitled “All Creatures Great and Small” is curated by Alexandra Kirtley, the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Montgomery-Garvan Curator of American Decorative Arts and long-time supporter of the show, Joan Johnson.

ARTFIXdaily's coverage of the show will begin next week.
