In the heart of Basel, the city where Art Basel was founded by Basel Gallerist Ernst Beyeler, Mixed Art Basel showcases innovative new art in an elegant, gallery-style exhibition space of Art Basel Center, Hall 33.

The juried, contemporary charity art event, organized by Gallery Director and Chiefcurator Priska Medam, is featuring an international slate of artists from Germany, India, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland and Taiwan – among them Jasmin Burjack, Dilly Dilly, Oliver Fauser, Dan Gerbo, Selke Gerfen, Matthias Hickel-Lopez, Patrick Kasper, Santo Mario Mazza, Priska Medam, Meihua, Rajsekhar Paul, Silvia Seifert, Jörg Walker (represented by Galerie zum Harnisch) and Sergej Aparin, Sasa Marjanovic, Endre Penovac, Jovana Tucovic, Milan Tucovic, Silva Vujovic (represented by DEGEN Gallery).

One of the highlights during the show are the recent Light Installation works by Arthur Berini and Luca Tomasi. Visiters can expect a wide range of cultural events such as the curated group show, the light installations as well as Live music solo concerts by Eric Kilcher (vocal, guitar) and Mario Stracuzzi (guitar).

A number of factors combine to make the 4th edition of Mixed Art Basel at Basel Art Center a key destination for contemporary art. These factors include Basel’s increasingly vibrant art scene and a number of well-established museums such as Foundation Beyeler, Art Museum Tinguely, Art Museum Basel and Vitra Design Museum.

The 4th Mixed Art charity art exhibition opens on Friday, March 27 at 6.00 pm. A part of the proceeds of sold artworks will be donated to the Foundation PRO UKBB. The Foundation was established in 2005 and is committed to ensuring that the UKBB is perceived as a University Competence Center for children and their families in the North-Western Switzerland. The help and welfare for sick and disabled children is the focus of the non-profit foundation’s mission.

The 4. Mixed Art Basel invites culture lovers discovering this district, named it one of most vibrant cities for contemporary art in the world. It is an important event for all serious collectors, curators, museum directors and interior designers, providing an intimate look at some of the most important work at the forefront of the international contemporary art movement.
