Palm Beach show season starts strong

Last Tuesday evening, a record 5,100 collectors thronged the American International Fine Art Fair opening Vernissage honoring the Norton Museum of Art at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. A few of the big-ticket sales included Eugene von Blaas’s “Conversation on the Terrace, Venice” priced at $1 million (Richard Green Gallery), a $750,000 Andrew Wyeth painting (Surovek Gallery), and Tom Wesselman’s “Monica Lounging on 1 Elbow ,“ priced at $56,000, acquired from Waterhouse & Dodd.
