Lambertville, NJ: On Friday, February 13th, Saturday February 14th, and Sunday February 15th, the Rago Arts and Auction Center will hold its auction of Early 20th Century Decorative Arts and Modern Design.

Ceramics by Newcomb College, Grueby, Teco, Tiffany Studios, Walrath, Marblehead, and Pewabic, plus a pink volcanic vase by George Ohr, a spectacular Rookwood Black Iris vase, and several rare and uncrazed Rookwood plaques. Featuring the ceramics collection of Allen Hendershott Eaton and a fine group of Fulper from the Collection of Robert A. Ellison. Remarkable ceramics by Robert Arneson, Waylande Gregory, Daniel Rhodes, the Natzlers, Glen Lukens, the Scheiers, and Harrison McIntosh. Works by Toshiko Takaezu, Robert Turner, Polia Pillin, Rudy Autio, Aaron Bohrod, and Leza McVey. Outstanding glass by Lino Tagliapietra, Yoichi Ohira, Stephen Rolfe Powell, Richard Marquis, Michael Glancy, John Lewis, Michael and Frances Higgins, Vladimir Prochazka, and Harvey Littleton.
“We are fortunate to be offering an exceptional grouping of contemporary glass in this sale,” said Suzanne Perrault, partner and 20th C. Design co-director. “Three spectacular sculptural vessels by Murano maestro Lino Tagliapietra come to us from a private collection in Chicago, and a half dozen of the finest pieces by Japanese artist Yoichi Ohira will be complemented by strong examples of works from Italy, the United States, and Czechoslovakia.”
