NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Anoukart in Chelsea International Photography Competition Exhibition. The exhibition opens February 19 and runs through February 28, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, February 21 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Anouk van Tetering, known as Anoukart, is recognized for her photographs of small vintage objects, revealing intricate details that would otherwise go unnoticed.

In Tea Time, the camera looks straight down at a 100-year-old tea cup and saucer, turning an ordinary object into what looks like an ancient symbol. The piece Good Morning! shows us the textured surface of a freshly boiled egg in an egg cup, and Single Espresso gives us a different point of view of coffee by turning it into a mandala.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, Anoukart encourages us to stop and take a closer look at our surroundings. By zooming in (zooming-in) on her subjects, she reveals a whole new world of possibilities.
