NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of  Sisel Lan in The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. The exhibition opens December 5 and runs through December 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Artist Sisel Lan captures the essence of movement with sweeping gestures and delicate grace. As a skilled photographer and architect, Sisel roots the camera in place as his subjects release their energy.

In Seducción y Tiempo V, bodies flip and roll over a warm surface, eventually disappearing into the blurry haze of motion. In Seducción y Tiempo II, his subjects writhe and sway under a shallow pool of light, melding dance with abstraction. Confusing time and space, Sisel shows us the intricacies of the human body as it moves in different directions simultaneously.
