NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Giovanni Armenio in Chelsea International Photography Competition Exhibition. The exhibition opens February 19 and runs through February 28, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, February 21 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Giovanni Armenio is an Italian photographer whose work is influenced by his research in scenography in theater, cinema, and opera. Fascinated by the highly theatrical cityscapes of Rome, Versailles, and Venice, among many others, Armenio uses digital media, painting, and photomontage to capture their beauty.

His photograph, A. To Rome IV (Apulia to Rome), combines the Mediterranean landscapes of Apulia and Imperial Rome. The image is a tribute to the artist’s two worlds: the south of Italy, where he was born, and Rome, which was always inspired him.
