Antiques in New Hampshire is a destination event for collectors of Americana. It is comprised of six high-level shows in Deerfield, Manchester and Concord that begin on Tuesday, August 6 and run through Saturday, August 10. To help collectors connect with the shows, events and nearby attractions, AmericanaWeek.com incorporates a micro-site for Antiques Week in New Hampshire, the publisher of Antiques Weeks Media announced recently.
AmericanaWeek.com is an independent and inclusionary online publication that centralizes market weeks related to Americana, the primary focus of the New Hampshire exhibitors.
Much like to a "special section" in traditional media, the AmericanaWeek.com thrust offers "fresh content daily and updates late breaking news and information, making the site a practical tool for both visitors and exhibitors,” said Regina Kolbe, publisher.
The Antiques Week in New Hampshire section is accessed via the pull down menu entitled NEW HAMPSHIRE on the navigation bar. An Events tab provides a daily round up of antiques shows in Deerfield, Manchester and Concord, NH, along with their start times, ticket prices and locations. A New Hampshire Articles tab offers articles of interest on New Hampshire history, art and cultural contributions.
Ms. Kolbe further stated the New Hampshire events will receive daily coverage on AmericanaWeek.com. "We will report on the flavor of each of the shows and spotlight items of interest that carry historical significance." Live tweets will accompany the coverage, adding a new degree of immediacy. Followers can follow the live tweets @prtothetrade.
"We have had enormous success in centralizing market week such as Americana Week in New York, also known as Antiques Week in New York, and Philadelphia Antiques Week. It is our goal to see Antiques Week in New Hampshire benefit from daily coverage, updated content that keeps readers re-visiting the site and spending time with advertisers' messages."
AmericanaWeek.com, which has established itself as the website the centralizes the world of art & design and antiques that revolve around American fine art, American folk art and American decorative arts, also provides micro-sites for other major shopping events. This consolidation of shows, events and stories makes the site a gateway for buyers who want to see at a glance all their opportunities.
Other weeks that enjoy micro-sites on AmericanaWeek.com include Philadelphia Antiques Week, Americana Week in New York, Antiques Week in New York and Nashville Antiques Week. In coming weeks, Baltimore Antiques Week and Vermont Antiques will be featured.
AmericanaWeek.com runs as many as fifteen stories pertaining to events surrounding each major market week, such as Philadelphia Antiques Week, which enjoys sponsorship from both the Philadelphia Antiques Show and Barnstar Production's 23rd Street Armory Show. The New Hampshire initiative, while still in the Beta stage, is expected to gain support from auctioneers and Show producers holding their major Americana events in August.
