THEN NOW Carole Davenport’s Asia week show is an experience that spans one thousand years and several mediums. This exhibition will features 17th century Kano Door Panels, Nabeshima ceramics, wood sculptures from the 9th to 12th centuries, and several Noh masks. While the central works of the show will be four pieces from the Japanese sculptor Hiroyuki Asano who will be present at this year’s Asia week and available at the shows opening. Asano, known for this precise forms and circular voids, brings a refined life to the soul of the stone. His combination of classical training in Italy and a uniquely Japanese style have gained him several international sculpting awards and put his work in several museums permainate collections. The show will open on the 10th while the opening reception will be held on March 11 at 4pm.
