One of the first Ford Mustangs ever made will be auctioned by Witherell's starting October 14, 2014.

One of the first Ford Mustangs ever made, called a 1964½ because it was introduced late in the “car year”, will be one of the most interesting items in Sacramento-based Witherell’s Fall Auction October14 through October 28, 2014.

The turquoise convertible was bought by the Sacramento owner in 1968 when in college and still runs.

The iconic beauty is valued at $15,000 to $25,000.

“This car was Ford’s most successful launch since the Model A,” said Brian Witherell, Witherell’s Fine Art and Antiques chief operating officer. “It is very exciting to have such an important car at our auction.”

A monumental Renaissance Revival bedroom suite from the 1870’s may be one of only five in existence.

The rare walnut and white marble-topped set with huge, ornate bed frame, mirrored dresser with hidden drawers, and nightstand is estimated at $10,000 to $15,000, but could sell for as high as $30,000.

Two oil paintings by nationally known American artist Gregory Kondos also headline the online auction.

“Lonely Beach” and a riverscape both feature the blue landscapes Kondos has made famous.

Shown at the San Francisco Palace of the Legion on Honor show on Kondos in 1969, “Lonely Beach” is estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.

Valued at $2,000 to $4,000, the riverscape was shown at the Crocker Art Museum exhibit on Kondos in 1980.

“A Time of Choosing” by the late California governor Ronald Reagan, was part of the stump speech during Reagan’s 1964 presidential campaign.

The signed document comes with a photo of Reagan and Asst. Secretary of the Army William Gianelli as well as a photo of First Lady Pat Nixon.

Its estimated value is $800 to $1,000.

Civil War-era furniture, jewelry and more will go to highest bidder once the online gavel bidding starts.
