More than 575 of the world’s most notable art, antique and jewelry dealers will convene in Baltimore to showcase their collections at the 33rd Annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, August 22-25, 2013. The show has a longstanding reputation for presenting the most important collections of American and European Silver, Asian antiquities, fine art, estate jewelry as well as Art Deco and mid-century modernist collectibles among troves of other unique treasures.

The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show offers something for everyone – from the seasoned collector to the first-time buyer in search of unique accents for their home. With the unrivalled ‘Shows-within-a-Show’ concept, The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show allows attendees to browse the widest variety of antiques in the country, enjoy fine books and manuscripts in the Antiquarian Book Fair, and take advantage of the expansive fine art offerings in Art Baltimore 2013.

The show’s diverse array of artworks and galleries have been carefully selected and strategically integrated into the show, offering guests the opportunity to experience a variety of high quality fine art and an unrivalled art experience. The show will highlight leading galleries showcasing fine art and sculpture spanning time, from old European masters to contemporary works. Galleries represented include Arcadia Fine Arts, Guarisco Gallery, Rehs Galleries, Onessimo Fine Art, David David Gallery, Dean Borghi Fine Art, Ed Weissman, and Robert E. Alker Fine Art among many others.

Drucker Antiques

M.S. Rau Antiques will feature a painting by German Expressionist painter Hermann Max Pechstein, considered one of the leading artistic talents during the early 20th century.  "Fishing Boats in the Afternoon Sun" is a stunning waterscape with sailboats on the banks of the Lebasee juxtaposed against a striking blue sky with an asking price of $1.85 million.

Silver

As part of the magnificent selection of silver to be found at the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, The Silver Fund will be showcasing a masterpiece of American Silver, the highly important Tiffany & Co. sterling silver and mixed metal candelabra and jardinière, circa 1879.

Jewelry

Among the incredible jewelry represented, Drucker Antiques will feature a magnificent Buccellati brooch with carved emeralds and sapphires, circa 1950. Other notable jewelry items include a stunning 12-carat pink diamond ring appraised at more than $3.95 million from M.S. Rau Antiques, as well as pair of highly important Van Cleef and Arpels pearl and diamond earrings from Samuel Saidian & Sons Antique Jewlery.  Everything from antique and estate jewelry to art deco pieces will be represented at the show.

Unique Items and Objects

A unique highlight of the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show is the presentation of the original navigation charts used by Amelia Earhart for her historic flight from Honolulu to Oakland in 1935 to be found at he booth of Your Piece of History. Additionally, John Atzbach will showcase a collection of Russian porcelain dinner plates from the Raphael Service made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, circa 1891-1897,
