Invaluable, the world’s leading online marketplace for fine art, antiques and collectibles, today announced that it is once again partnering with Graceland Auctions to offer online bidding on The Auction at Graceland, taking place at 2:00 pm CDT on August 13, 2016, during Elvis Week 2016. As this year marks the 60th year anniversary of the beginning of Elvis’ robust film career, the auction will celebrate Elvis’ starring role in Hollywood during the 1950s and ‘60s. Offering 197 lots of Elvis artifacts, bidders can view the full catalog on Invaluable.com and bid in real-time during the live auction both online and using the Invaluable mobile app.

To commemorate Elvis’ big screen talent, this summer’s Auction at Graceland features film-worn costumes, important contracts, movie posters, scripts, original advertisements and promotions, and much more from his motion pictures. Also included in the auction are Elvis’ original birth record (estimated at $80,000 - $100,000), which is the very first document marking the day this icon entered the world; never-before-seen concert footage of Elvis in his famous gold lamé from Chicago’s International Amphitheatre in 1957 (estimated at $15,000 - $20,000); an outstanding photo archive collection chronicling Elvis Presley's September 26, 1956, concert in Tupelo, MS (estimated at $15,000 - $20,000); and Elvis’ own personal signed American Express card (estimated at $40,000 - $60,000).

“It gives me great pleasure to once again partner with Graceland Auctions to celebrate the life and career of Elvis Presley by offering online bidding on The Auction at Graceland this August,” said Rob Weisberg, Invaluable CEO. “Elvis artifacts are always a hit with our bidding community, and I know our bidders will be thrilled to have access to the extremely rare and collectible pieces of movie and music memorabilia, along with the gifts and jewelry from Elvis Presley, that are included in this year’s auction.”

Highlights from Elvis’ Hollywood career included in the auction include boots worn by Elvis Presley in the film "It Happened at The World’s Fair” (estimated at $10,000 - 15,000), a 1969 Elvis Presley screen-worn blue dress shirt from "The Trouble with Girls" (estimated at $8,000 - 10,000) and a rare 1957 "Jailhouse Rock" movie premiere program featuring Elvis Presley (estimated at $3,000 - $4,000).

Musical artifacts being offered include Elvis Presley's signed and inscribed guitar case, which is possibly one of his first (estimated at $10,000 - 15,000), a 1960's Elvis Presley owned electric guitar that was gifted to Graceland maid and cook Nancy Rooks' husband (estimated at $20,000 - 30,000) and a “’68 Comeback Special” foreign distribution contract signed by Elvis Presley, including the MGM cover letter sent to Colonel Parker’s office (estimated at $8,000 - 10,000).

Notable pieces of jewelry featured in the auction include a 1971 Mathey-Tissot custom-made watch with “ELVIS PRESLEY” on the bezel, which was gifted by Elvis to producer Felton Jarvis (estimated at $10,000 - 15,000), J.D. Sumner’s diamond-studded TCB necklace gifted by Elvis Presley (estimated at $20,000 - 30,000) and an Elvis Presley worn black star sapphire ring gifted to Al Strada, which also comes with Strada’s backstage pass (estimated at $10,000 - 15,000).

"As in years past, we expect Elvis fans, music collectors and pop culture enthusiasts will come out in full force to bid on the 197 lots expertly authenticated by the staff of Graceland Authenticated," said Graceland Auctions Managing Director Laura Pickett. “This auction is one of our most exciting sales to date, including extremely rare items like Elvis’ original birth record and his signed American Express card. I look forward to working with Invaluable once again to offer online bidding to collectors around the world.”

Each and every lot in the auction has been thoroughly researched and certified by Graceland Authenticated, the authority in Elvis and pop culture authentication. All of the items in the auction will be offered from third-party collectors and none of the items included in the auction will come from the treasured Graceland Archives. The mansion and all artifacts in the Graceland Archives continue to be owned by Lisa Marie Presley and are not for sale.
