Jonathan Herrera Soto, A La Vez , Both, COLLOGRAPH on Paper, 36" x 24"

NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Jonathan Herrera Soto in The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. The exhibition opens December 5 and runs through December 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Jonathan Herrera Soto’s great discovery is that art presences itself better when it comes across as artless. This insight is visible across his works, especially in the way they seem to fracture themselves, as though deliberately letting the seams of of an imaginative synthesis show through in the completed product.

In Con Amor, Siempre / With Love Always, a number of pages of paper are affixed to a wall, lending the total work a sort of casual quality. As indicated by the title, however, this work is fundamentally a meditation on the experience of our coexistence with the others.
