With nearly 500 lots, Witherell’s summer auction, running online July 1 to 15, 2015, is stacking up to be the biggest yet for the Sacramento, Calif-based company.

With the personal antique collection of Sutter Creek’s Klima’s Antiques, part of the Crego Civil War collection and more, the July 11th preview has been moved to the warehouse across the street from Witherell’s gallery to accommodate all the items.

From Los Angeles to Sutter Creek, Earl and Rae Klima ran their antiques store for more than 40 years, amassing a vast trove of pop culture, collectibles and more.

Their personal collection now is being sold.

Fun items include coin-operated machines, early cap guns, California advertising and law badges, plus antiques chandeliers, clocks and American furniture.

“The Klimas have such an outstanding collection of pop culture items,” said Brian Witherell, “Antiques Roadshow” and Witherell’s chief operating officer.

Part of the Crego Civil War collection also is being sold.

Witherell and the collector’s descendants were featured on the Fox Business News “Strange Inheritance” detailing the many unusual Civil War items Lt. Col. Arthur Crego saved during his lifetime.

Valued at $400 to $600, a Civil War 1864 Burnside carbine is one of a dozen lots from the collector.

Other unusual items include a late nineteenth century wooden santos that stands 29 inches tall and is estimated at $800 to $1,200, a Moreau bronze of a woman leaning on a pedestal valued at$500 to $750, a George Jensen sterling brooch and earring set worth $500 to $700 and a colorful 1920s Fuller colorful paint advertisement with flapper that measures 30” high x 31” wide and is estimated at only $100 to $300 for some lucky buyer.
