Three times a year, the rolling fields of Brimfield, MA that lie just outside the historic village of Sturbridge, turn into the Northeast's largest antiques market. With twenty-three show promoters in as many fields hosting more than 6,000 dealers, the crowds swell to the hundreds of thousands. To ease the confusion of how to go, what to do, where to stay - and how to stay longer and enjoy more, Antiques Weeks Media, LLC has launched a travel site named BrimfieldAntiquesWeek.com.
The new site follows the same format as Antiques Weeks Media's other travel sites, among them PhiladelphiaAntiquesWeek.com, AmericanaWeek.com, AsiaWeekGuide.com and ModernVintageTimes.com. BrimfieldAntiquesWeek.com provides a well-organized overview of Shows, the Dealers, the Events, along with an interactive map, video and helpful homepage content.
"Brimfield is so big," Eric Miller, co-founder of Antiques Weeks Media said, "that the trade papers don't even run special advertising sections on it. That leaves buyers to find out on their own, or through the limited websites that exist, how to maneuver." BrimfieldAntiquesWeek.com is designed to solve the problem.
Currently, the publishers are populating the site with content and "featured" dealers. "Unlike our other sites, which swell with traffic on the cusp of the events, Brimfield has triple the pull. That's because of the multiple dates and the consistent updating of blog posts and events news." It is an excellent environment for the many dealers who see Brimfield as their main selling opportunity.
Antiques Weeks Media, LLC is approaching the Brimfield site with a longer lens than focused on shorter events. "The site will be effective for the May season, running May 8 - 13. It will be even more comprehensive for the July show and by September we expect to have a full complement of Show promoters, dealers and suppliers, such as moving companies, on the site.
Dealers, particularly the smaller ones, are advised that advertising rates are geared to their margins. The advantage of maintaining a presence on BrimfieldAntiquesWeek.com is that it provides year-round visibility, and that means added traffic.
For dealers who do not maintain a brick and mortar presence or do not support a business website, BrimfieldAntiquesWeek.com becomes a vital link to creating a web presence without the hassle or the fees.
