- ASHEVILLE, North Carolina
- /
- October 10, 2016
Over 1000 lots will be available at Brunk Auctions during their auction on the third weekend of November, 2016. The auction will include large selections of jewelry, silver, and American & European Paintings and Furniture.
Among the top lots in the sale is a Platinum 6.26 Carat Diamond Ring from a Private Savannah, Georgia collection. Over 100 lots of jewelry will be offered including works by Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex, and more.
Also in the mix for the auction is rare printing of the South Carolina Act of Secession from 1860. The printing, which is preserved to museum standards, was held in a metal document tube for the first 130 years of its existence in the home of Governor William Dunlap Simpson’s grandson. South Carolina was the first state to secede from the United States at the beginning of what would be the bloodiest American conflict in history.
Among the American Art in the auction are works by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Jane Peterson, A.F. Tait, and James Abbott McNeill Whistler. A large selection of European Old Master Paintings will also be sold as well as other Continental and English works.
Bidding will be available live, by phone, absentee bid, and online through Bidsquare. Public previews will be held before both auction sessions, as well as privately by appointment.
