Invaluable Announces Exclusive Online Bidding for Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales Summer Catalogue Auction

The three-day sale, taking place from June 12-14, 2014, will feature a selection of rare wines, Asian art and antiques, furniture, jewelry and fine and decorative art from a variety of important estates and collections.

The three-day auction will kick off with the Rare & Fine Wine sale on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 6:00pm EDT. The Rare & Fine Wine department at Leland Little Auctions is known for offering the largest wine auctions in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States, and the upcoming sale will feature more than 350 lots. Particular lots of note include a 1989 Opus One, expected to realize $300-500; a 1982 Chateau Haut Brion, estimated to sell for $250-350, and three bottles of 1990 Chateau Montrose, expected to realize $900-1,200.
The sale will continue on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00am EDT, with the Asian Works of Art sale. Featuring more than 120 lots, particularly noteworthy items from this session include a Sancai Glazed Figure of a Lokapala dating back to the Tang Dynasty, which is estimated to realize $8,000-12,000, as well as a pair of Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Footed Bowls that are estimated at $800-1,200. The sale also features a Marble Statue of a Seated Buddha that is expected to realize $500-1,000.
The sale will continue later in the evening at 6:00pm EDT, with the 20th Century Arts & Design session, featuring the Near Loreto acrylic on canvas by Maud Gatewood (1934-2004), which is expected to realize $4,000-5,000. Additional lots of note include a pair of lavender Lucite Chairs by Michel Dumas, estimated to sell for $600-900, a Mother & Child sculpture by Willard Hirsch (1905-1982), expected to realize $800-1,200, and a Peter Saenger Porcelain Puzzle Tea Set.
The final day of the auction will feature the Fine & Decorative Arts session, taking place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 9:00am EDT. Noteworthy lots include a watercolor and ink on paper entitled One of the Paths… by Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) that is estimated to realize $10,000-20,000, as well as an 18th Century Fine Louis XV Gilded Marble Top Console Table expected to sell for $6,000-9,000. The sale also features a Chopard necklace and earrings from the Copacabana Collection, estimated at $40,000-60,000.
