Young Collectors Night Returns for the 62nd Annual Winter Antiques Show

Notable names in the design, art and philanthropic fields gather to support East Side House Settlement
New York, New York – (January 2016) - On Thursday, January 28, East Side House Settlement (www.eastsidehouse.org) will host the annual Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show, held at the Park Avenue Armory from 7-9 p.m. With more than 700 young philanthropists, new collectors, interior designers and art and antiques enthusiasts in attendance, Young Collectors Night is a lively and extravagant event complete with a private perusing of fine art items. Proceeds from the event will benefit East Side House Settlement, a leading social services agency that provides quality education and technology training for students in South Bronx and surrounding communities. The evening is co-chaired by Sam P.C. Dangremond, Lucinda Ballard May, Emily McLellan and Jeffrey Caldwell with Courtney Booth Christensen and Stephanie Clark serving as co-chairs emeriti.
“Bringing together a budding generation of dedicated supporters to the arts is precisely what Young Collectors Night is all about,” said Executive Director of East Side House Settlement, John Sanchez. “We want to celebrate and thank the design enthusiasts that support our mission to create opportunities for families of the South Bronx and the fundamental work we do.”
Young Collectors Night will once again host the Interior Design Committee, led by Chairwoman Wendy Goodman, Design Editor of New York magazine. This prestigious group brings together more than 70 of the country’s most illustrious interior designers, including Nate Berkus, Mariette Gomez, Miles Redd, Shawn Henderson and many more.
“Every year I’m so thrilled to see the interest for time-honored art and design by this exciting crowd,” said Goodman. “The dedication and talent brought to Young Collectors Night is cricuial in continued support for East Side House Settlement.”
This year, Young Collectors Night features sponsorship from Benjamin Moore, Brooks Brothers, Cosentino and New York magazine.
Young Collectors Night will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity for guests to meet the Interior Design Committee. Proceeds will support East Side House Settlement’s highly successful college preparation programs, which are crucial in promoting education and employment for the residents of the South Bronx and surrounding communities.
