The selling exhibition, which runs from 8 November – 16 December 2014, includes drawings from an impressive line-up of international artists, some of whom have never exhibited in the UK before. DRAWN will feature works from Andrew Denman (USA), Zoey Frank (USA) and Giorgia Oldano (Italy), as well as Guy Combes (Kenya), Jonathan Pointer (UK), Angela French (UK) and Terry Miller (USA), as selected and curated by Simon Gudgeon. All works are previously unseen, and will be offered for sale at prices ranging from £300 to £3,000.
Sculpture by the Lakes offers the perfect setting to appreciate art in all its forms. Described as one of Britain’s ‘most unique sculpture parks’, Sculpture by the Lakes was created in 2007 by leading British contemporary sculptor Simon Gudgeon and his wife Monique. It comprises 26 acres of landscaped gardens and lakes, creating a unique backdrop for his sculptures and exhibitions as well as a tranquil environment for arts, garden and nature enthusiasts alike.
Simon Gudgeon says: “For the inaugural gallery exhibition, drawing had to be the place to start. It is the solid skill that underpins all other arts. The gallery will host a minimum of three exhibitions a year, showcasing the work of the best artists I come across, many of whom are underrepresented here in the UK. I can’t wait to show our visitors the incredible artists I have met.”
