The Winter Antiques Show Executive Committee is pleased to announce that it has named Helen Allen as the new executive director of the Show.
Ms. Allen joins the Winter Antiques Show with extensive experience and expertise in the arts, marketing, communications, and event production. Over the past 17 years, Ms. Allen has orchestrated the US market entry, directed, and consulted with numerous art fairs. She served as the executive director of Ramsay Fairs for nine years. During her tenure, she founded and served as executive director of PULSE Contemporary Art Fair with events in New York, Miami, and London, and she consulted on the establishment of the internationally renowned Art Hong Kong (now Art Basel Hong Kong). In recent years, Ms. Allen has been tapped to serve as both a communications and production consultant by several art fair organizations.
Previously, Ms. Allen worked with Christie’s Auction House in Rome and New York and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ms. Allen lectures regularly and participates locally and internationally in panel discussions about the art market, business development, entrepreneurship, and marketing and, for the past three years, she has taught at Sotheby’s Institute.
"We are pleased to announce Ms. Allen’s new role as executive director of the Winter Antiques Show," said Michael Lynch, the Show’s co-chair. "We believe that she will lead the Winter Antiques Show to new heights from its current position as one of the world’s leading, antiques, art, and design fairs.”
“Helen brings a broad skill set, deep experience, and a collaborative style that truly builds upon our strengths. We are thrilled to have her on board joining associate executive director, Michael Diaz-Griffith, who is celebrating three years with the Show,” comments co-chair Lucinda Ballard.
