Artfest Michigan Avenue is back! Launched in the summer of 2015 by Amdur Productions, the three-day art fest has quickly become one of the city’s most popular events! With over 100-juried artists in a variety of mediums, the festival takes place on Chicago’s world-famous Michigan Avenue at the base of the iconic Chicago Tribune building, next to the new Apple store. Overlooking the Chicago River, attendees can enjoy the city’s magnificent landscape while viewing the work of some of the country’s most talented artists. Artist demonstrations, interactive art projects, activities for kids, and live music make Artfest Michigan Avenue a wonderful experience for the entire family. The festival takes place July 21-23, from 10 am to 5 pm each day. Admission is free.
New this year, young art festival attendees are invited to visit the youth art area to participate in “Draw for the Troops.” Kids of all ages are welcome to color a special picture for the brave men and women serving our country. At the end of the show, the drawings will be sent by Amdur Productions to the troops stationed in the U.S. and abroad. Kids will also enjoy art fest bingo, spin art, coloring and a graffiti wall.
Amdur Productions is pleased to announce that Bright Pink is the charity chosen for Artfest Michigan Avenue’s Green Ribbon Project. Participating artists will be placing a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth. If the piece is sold during ArtFest Michigan Avenue, then the artist will donate 10% of the proceeds to Bright Pink.
