Freeman’s is pleased to welcome Timothy J. Malyk as Modern & Contemporary Art Department Head and Vice President. Mr. Malyk will be based in New York City. Former department head Anne Henry will continue to work out of the Philadelphia office as vice president and senior specialist.

Tim comes to Freeman’s with more than two decades of experience working with the world's top institutions and private collectors advising in the auction sector. A senior member of Phillips Contemporary Art Department for more than eleven years, he was integral to the success of several of their most important single owner sales. He also founded the Under the Influence Auction series and managed the record breaking Carte Blanche Sale curated by Philippe Ségalot. Most recently, he was a senior consultant at Paddle8.

Mr. Malyk is currently seeking works for the May 1, 2016 Modern & Contemporary Art auction. An important terracotta sculpture entitled “Concetto Spaziale” by Lucio Fontana estimated at $60,000-100,000 has already been consigned from a distinguished New York City estate. Freeman’s looks forward to auctioning this special work on the heels of a fall 2015 auction season that saw five auction records set for the artist.

For a complimentary auction evaluation or to discuss buying and consigning options, please contact Tim at tmalyk@freemansauction.com or 646.943.4447.
