Harris & Ruble ART takes great pleasure in presenting a Pop-up show of unique, one of a kind jewelry hand-crafted by designer Marti Oppenheimer on the weekend of September 7th and 8th.  Please stop by on Saturday or Sunday from noon to 5 pm to meet the artist and see her creations. The jewelry will be on exhibition for the remainder of September by appointment.

Marti's love of art and her background in fashion and design inspired her to create her jewelry line, MartiDesigns. Her work has been exhibited throughout America. Her pieces have been featured in W and in Los Angeles Magazine's 'One-Of-A-Kind Fashions of Rodeo Drive,', among many other national publications. She has done commissions for such fashion icons as Elizabeth Taylor. Her interest in jewelry and design is informed by her extensive interest in contemporary art.

As collectors of contemporary art, Marti and her husband Tony are avid supporters of such organizations as the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. where they serve on the Collection Committee as well as the Collection Council of the Guggenheim Museum. They are on the Acquisition Committee for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles. Marti and Tony also are members of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) where they participate in the Collection Committee and the Modern and Contemporary Art Council. Marti also is active in the Fashion Circle and Costume Council at LACMA. They are patrons of the Nelson Atkins Museum as well as the Kaufman Performing Arts Center in Kansas City.

Marti and Tony founded the Oppenheimer Collection at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Overland Park, Kansas, where their permanent collection is housed.  It is based on the campus of Johnson County Community College (JCCC), which was recently selected as one of the top ten colleges in the country for public art on campus.
