(Boston) - Quidley & Company Fine Art proudly presents Narrative Fragments, an international group invitational exhibition and sale opening Thursday, September 20th and running through October 20, 2012.
Gallery Director, Andrea Kalinowski has assembled an extraordinary group of 21 contemporary artists working in the genre of representational narrative painting. The exhibition Narrative Fragments highlights a form of veiled storytelling where the artist conveys complex figurative works that depict grand story arcs, while compressing a multitude of thoughts, ideas and emotions into a static singular image.

Highlights of the exhibition are the Canadian artist Shaun Downey, showing his new work titled Yellow Bicycle. Downey is the 2010 recipient of the BP Portrait Award, sponsored by the National Portrait Gallery, in London. Tiina Heiska, a Finnish artist, will be exhibiting new work from her acclaimed series Patent Shoes. On view as well is new work by Jeremy Miranda, a Boston native known for his provocative and layered commentary of the intersection of nature and technology.
