NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Eme Erre  in The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. The exhibition opens December 5 and runs through December 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Eme Erre’s artistry revels in black and white contrasts, and repetition. With this, Erre has a decided penchant for grids, which act as a sort of map in her work—an analytic archive detailing the stages of a figure’s emergence into visibility. This grid aspect lends her work a self-reflexive level of commentary that involves the viewer in the creation of a work’s meaning. Modelo 01, for instance, is an almost Rorschach-like diagram which seems to detail the developmental stages of an embryonic figure, the formal repetition of the work being anticipated by its grid-like structure.
