Richmond Hill, ON – With the summer auction season in full swing, 888 Auctions continues to conduct auctions at a prodigious rate, allowing buyers and sellers to find fresh-to-market items quickly and at fair market prices. The upcoming auction, featuring Modern Art, Paintings and Asian Antiques, will be listing 386 lots.

Headlining the sale will be the cover lot of the auction: Lot 138, an attributed Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) Mixed Media on Paper, featuring an automobile. Accompanied with a certificate, this original piece hails from a Southern Ontario estate and is unique in its subject matter and colors. It is expected to exceed its high estimate of $8,000.

Other big names are also featured in the upcoming auction. Notably, Lot 59, a gouache on paper signed and attributed to Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). Featuring a surrealist landscape scene, this framed original piece commands a high estimate of $8,000.

Another surrealist piece is expected to garner significant bidding action at Lot 91, an original attributed piece by Rene Magritte (Belgian, 1898-1967). The oil on board piece features a surrealist scene and is signed on the lower margin. Hailing from a private collection in Toronto, Ontario, it is expected to surpass its high estimate of $8,000.

Mixed media original pieces have been finding their way to 888 Auctions and collectors of these eclectic pieces will be please to find the inclusion of two original works of art. Lot 132, an Yves Klein (French 1928-1962) Mixed Media Monochrome Framed Work, features a high estimate of $6,000; Lot 137, a Robert Rauschenberg (American, 1925-2008) Mixed Media on Paper, features a high estimate of $4,500.
