Art Fair Guru Rick Friedman will debut Hamptons Contemporary at the Southampton Elks Fairgrounds (605 County Road 39) on June 3-5, 2016, bringing the first of its kind world class international interior/exterior-design/décor fair to the Hamptons.

The Opening Night VIP Reception will benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) and the Southampton Education Foundation on Sunday, June 5, providing third-party financial support for scholarships and other valuable programs for the students and educators  in the Southampton community

Nine years after creating the first and most successful art fair on the East End, ArtHamptons, Rick Friedman has turned his deft touch to design/décor in the resort paradise that literally defines American luxury living.  As he did with ArtHamptons and other fairs across the country, Friedman plans once again to set the standard for fairs celebrating the form and function of modern luxury living with Hamptons Contemporary.

Explaining his transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional art fair exhibition, Friedman notes, “After I sold the fine art fairs, I realized that I may have been too myopic in defining art as what was on the walls. I realized that it was about beauty meeting inspiration and I took a higher level of abstraction, wherein the canvas is the entire home and the paint is defined as all the elements and product categories that comprise and beautify the home. Hamptons Contemporary showcases that wider vision.” 

The 40,000 square foot Hamptons Contemporary pavilion will showcase Friedman’s vision indeed, as 150+ exhibitors have already committed to Hamptons Contemporary. From world recognized architects to celebrated interior decorators, from luxury furniture and appliance manufacturers to one-of-a-kind design artisans, from state-of-the-art pool and landscape designers to home theater experts, Hamptons Contemporary will celebrate every aspect of luxury home décor and design, both interior and exterior.
