East Dennis, Mass. – Eldred’s Fine and Decorative Art Auction, being conducted November 6 and 7, will feature more than 90 lots of jewelry and nearly 200 paintings. American and Continental furniture, ceramics, Oriental rugs, silver and much more are also included in this truly eclectic auction.

Highlighted lots include a platinum, diamond and sapphire ring, a Herend porcelain dinner service in the “Green Chinese Bouquet” pattern, a leaded glass and patinated bronze table lamp by Bigelow, Kennard & Co., an M.C. Escher lithograph, and a pair of faïence panels believed to depict scenes from Fontaine’s Fables. An international cadre of artists is represented in the sale with works by Feliks Topolski (Polish, 1907-1989), Doug Brega (Massachusetts, Contemporary), Andre Lhote (French, 1885-1962), Carlos Alonso (Argentinian, b. 1929), Marc Tobey (American, 1890-1976), and many others.

Of note, the sale also includes twelve lots of Tiffany Studio items including silver plated candle shades, favrile glass tableware, iridescent glass dishes, a bronze pen tray, a bronze picture frame, a student’s lamp base, and a favrile glass mosque lamp. “It’s an intriguing assortment and a interesting cross-section of the types of work produced by Tiffany Studios,” said Leah Kingman, Eldred’s head of European and Decorative Arts. “We’re excited by the pre-sale interest in these and a number of other lots in the sale.”

Both Friday and Saturday’s auction sessions will begin at 10 a.m. EST and will be held at the company’s main facility located 1483 Route 6A, in East Dennis, Massachusetts.
