BADU - CALIFORNIA AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM

BADU, 2014, 36 X 48, on stretch canvas

from my twice held over exhibit at the

CALIFORNIA AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM.

BADU is rendered in SENNELIER OIL,

a medium developed in collaboration with

PABLO PICASSO circa 1949, and the artwork

is in fact a homage to this MASTER OF ART,

who continues to be my major influence

in addition to MIRO, MATISSE, MODIGLIANI,

BASQUIAT, BEARDEN, TWOMBLY, DE KOONING,

DALI, MAGRITTE AND JACOB LAWRENCE.

BADU was one of 38 ARTWORKS exhibited

at the MUSEUM. I remain to be highly honored

and grateful, looking forward to my next

MUSEUM exhibit. STAY SAFE & GOD BLESS -mk/artist
