Berkshires Arts Festival
Sparks will fly at the 21st Berkshires Arts Festival in Great Barrington, Mass. July 4th Weekend on the grounds of scenic Ski Butternut. A dazzling synergy occurs when 150 exhibitors join live music, workshops, demos, entertainment and kids' activities. The family oriented festival is produced and curated by An American Craftsman Galleries, Lenox, Mass. It will include artists and artisans who design and create jewelry, ceramics, photography, sculpture, glass, furniture, painting, fashion and works in wood, metal, mixed media, leather and fiber.
New to the festival: jeweler Steve Kolodny, Brainard, N.Y., rocking chair artisan Tom Bazis, Philadelphia, Pa., furniture maker Peter Judge, Ghent, N.Y., ceramist Jenna Cranna Cahalan, New Milford, Conn., and photographer Dylan W. Kubis, Sheffield, Mass.
Exhibitors since the festival's launch two decades ago include potter Lynne Puhalla, No. Attleboro, Mass.; fashion designer Shekina Rudoy, Princeton, N.J.; furniture designer Peter Handler, Philadelphia, Pa. and watercolorist Barbara Doncaster, Great Barrington, Mass.
Adults: $14; Students $7; Weekend pass $16; Children under 10, free.
Friday and Saturday July 1 and 2, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday July 3, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
