Jewelry Design Fundamentals, September 28 – November 16
https://fullercraft.org/product/jewelry-design-fundamentals-september-29-november-16/
Learn how to create your own jewelry, or gain more confidence and skills on basics you already know. We will cover fundamental metalsmithing skills such as sawing, filing, soldering, riveting, and texturing metal. In addition to these essential fabrication techniques, the science of metallurgy will be touched upon and students will learn why metal behaves the way it does so that they may control it more effectively. Other jewelry techniques will be covered as well, such as setting a cabochon cut stone through the use of a bezel setting. Students will then use all of these skills to design and produce finished pieces of wearable jewelry. Instructor: William Vanaria.
