The World of Code/Art

https://code-art.com/

The Code/Art Art/Talk series is a newly launched program that introduces the community to the pioneering work of contemporary artists whose artwork is made possible through innovative and ambitious applications of technology and computer science.

Through a series of talks conducted virtually with select artists and arts professionals, Art/Talks serve to spotlight female thought-leaders to inspire the Code/Art community of young women to pursue an education in computer science. The Art/Talk series encourages creative participation and highlight the present opportunities for the next generation of young women to excel while narrowing the persisting gender gap.

The first talk features artist Saya Woolfalk, a New York based artist who uses science fiction and fantasy to re-imagine the world in multiple dimensions. With each body of work, Woolfalk continues to build the narrative of these women's lives, and questions the utopian possibilities of cultural hybridity. Further, her experience with projects including the "Hybrid Digital Home" dialogue with and explore future applications and implications of technology on our lives.
