Leslie Hindman Auctioneers’ April 18 and 19 Fine Furniture, Decorative Arts and Silver auction includes over 900 lots of Continental, French, English and American furniture and decorative arts. A number of highlights in the sale come from two private Midwestern collections, including property from Fairlawn, Lake Forest, Illinois, a prominent residence built in 1870 by Charles b. Farwell who served as a U.S. Representative and Senator from Illinois. African works of art from the Detroit Institute of Art will be offered in the sale as well as a significant collection of Russian silver.
