Award-Winning Composers Yuka C. Honda, Nels Cline and Devin Hoff Slated to Perform at Young People’s Chorus of NYC’s New Art Exhibition, AloneTogether

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) has announced a diverse, talent-packed lineup for a music series within its new, mixed-media art installation, AloneTogether, an in-depth exploration of the impact of Covid-19-related global turmoil on the hearts and minds of children and young adults. 

 

On Friday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m., Yuka C. Honda of alternative rock band Cibo Matto fame will perform "When A Tree Lives A Thousand Years” alongside special guests American guitarist and composer Nels Cline of the band Wilco, and American bassist, composer and arranger Devin Hoff. This special event also features the world premiere of "Dear Future,” Honda’s haunting piece commissioned by YPC for THE CANONS PROJECT, a film featured in the AloneTogether installation.  “Dear Future” will be performed live by Young People’s Chorus of New York City.

 

The full AloneTogether exhibition is open to the public Saturday, November 20-Sunday, December 19 (Wednesday-Sunday) from noon – 6 pm.
