CUBA: BEAUTY AND SADNESS | CUBA: BELLA Y TRISTE
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month at RACSO Art Gallery, Philadelphia’s leading Latin American Art gallery, with photography exhibit “Cuba: Beauty and Sadness” by guest artist Sandy Stolzman. The exhibit explores Cuba’s aesthetic contradictions, its beauty and sadness.
Thursday, September 7 | Opening Reception 6:00pm – 8:00pm
• In 2016, Cuba opened its borders to the U.S. for the first time in decades and ignited a renewed interest and spike in tourism.
• Stolzman’s subjects range from Parkour and boxing athletes to sunsets over Havana and colorful streetscapes. Stolzman’s unique perspective and dye-infused metal print process make the photographs glow from within.
• Racso Art Gallery represents local and international Latino artists.
• Guests will enjoy RACSO’s signature cocktails by Passyunk Avenue neighbor Pollyodd and nibble on Colombian empanadas.
