Bastille Day is back! Come down to Marlborough Street and be transported to Paris with authentic Francophone music, food, drinks, and dancing in the street! After selling out in 2014 and 2015, the French Cultural Center promises an event that is not to be missed. The line-up, programmed by World Music/CRASHarts, showcases two phenomenal acts: Ginkgoa and Emeline Michel.

Ginkgoa is composed of Nicolle Rochelle (American singer, author and dancer) and Antoine Chatenet (French composer and producer. They create French songs with a distinctly American vibe, as well as American songs with a definitive French touch. Together they’ve concocted a perky, lighthearted, electronics-tinged, mostly English-speaking version of Hot Club cabaret.

Emeline Michel is an internationally acclaimed Haitian songstress fusing pop, jazz, blues and traditional rhythms. She has been hailed by the New York Times as a “diplomat of music” and “the dancing ambassador with a voice serene and warm like the breeze”.

The event will be held on Friday, July 15 at 6:00pm. For tickets and more information visit: www.frenchculturalcenter.org or call: (617) 912-0400
