Not to miss this summer is PRENDERGAST IN ITALY an exhibition of Maurice Prendergast’s views of Rome, Siena, Venice, and Capri as well as fascinating archival material from the artist’s two trips to Italy in 1898 and 1911. On view through Sept. 20 at Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown, Mass., then travels to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice (October 9, 2009—January 3, 2010), and to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (February 14—May 9, 2010).
