Upscale & Upbeat: Baltimore Antiques Show expects high turn-out, strong sales

Expectations are high for this weekend's 29th annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, the largest indoor antiques shows in the world, featuring 550 top-tier dealers. "The industry overall has been soft but nobody’s giving anything away — prices haven’t fallen,” said Kris Charamonde of the Palm Beach Show Group. A few highlights include a Pierre-Auguste Renoir from M.S. Rau Antiques in New Orleans priced at $425,000. The same dealer is asking $2.4 million for a Camille Pissarro work and is bringing Paul Revere silver, Meissen porcelain, a "Peony" Tiffany lamp, and more.
