Nearly 650 pieces of artwork and artifacts, including two fine oils by J.H. Sharp, will be offered next weekend in the annual March in Montana Auction. About 225 lots come from the collection of Bob Praegitzer, a wealthy West Coast industrialist who was a fixture at the Russell Art Auction and the Manitou Auction during the 1980s and 1990s. His Sharp painting "Hunting Sun — Taos Indian" is estimated at $100,000 to $150,000.
Antique Navajo weavings, out of a Reno estate, as well as eight bronzes by C.M. Russell are other highlights of the sale.
The auction in Great Falls, Montana, is conducted by Manitou Galleries and Coeur d'Alene Auction.
