At a private villa in St. Tropez on July 22, a massive auction organized by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation will offer up a host of fine art, jewelry, properties, goods and experiences to raise funds for environmental conservation. The first edition of the event raised $25 million last year, according to the foundation's Website.

Founded in 1998, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) works to protect the Earth’s last wild places by implementing solutions that restore balance to threatened ecosystems, and ensuring the long-term health and wellbeing of all its inhabitants. Just last week, $15 million in grants were given to global environmental efforts.

Leonardo DiCaprio, the actor, art collector and philanthropist behind the foundation, gave a landmark address at the United Nations Climate Summit in 2014, saying,"Clean air and a livable climate are inalienable human rights.
