ARTFIXdaily is closed for the holidays. E-newsletter service will resume on January 3, 2022.

Thank you to our readers and to ARTFIXdaily's contributors and advertising supporters for providing inspiring art news and information during the peaks and valleys of 2021.

The peaks included a first half of 2021 with art auction sales soaring to $7.8 billion, according to reports, representing an increase of 12 percent over 2019, before the pandemic hit. Fall 2021 saw Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips total a record $2.65 billion in art sales during the two-week period of auctions in November, in addition to the return of in-person art events, the emergence of crypto-wealthy collectors, and a booming new market for NFTs.
